What a beach seafood market should be. Friendly staff, super fresh seafood and some playful pups out back. Reasonable prices for locally wild caught shrimp. No farm raised shrimp allowed.

Excellent and fresh shrimp at very reasonable prices. I'm so glad we didn't get shrimp from the grocer as these were so much better. Parking is an incredibly difficult challenge due to horrible design and poor maintenance. If another patron is unobservant or plain rude, you can easily get blocked in.

Bought fresh caught shrimp and blue crab to cook at our condo after we were tired of going out. Quality was outstanding and everyone was very friendly. Great selection and goes to show what fresh caught should taste like.

One of my favorite things when I am at Edisto Beach is grilling fresh fish or having super-fresh shrimp - and that is what they deliver. So, we stop in to Edisto Seafood at least a couple of times on each of our trips. It is super-convenient and of course, everything is literally fresh off the boat. It can be hit or miss though what they will have when you go in, depends on what was biting that day...and what time you go in. If they don't have what you are looking for one day, go back the next day and chances are, they will have it. If not, they will give you suggestions for the next best thing. So far my favorite things to get here are mahi, tuna, and shrimp, which are all locally caught, not trucked in from somewhere else.

Super fresh shrimp. If you are staying at Wyndham it is right outside the main gate. Bring some old Bay and throw these puppies under the broiler for a few minutes and enjoy.

Wonderful place to purchase seafood. We generally eat a lot of seafood when vacationing at Edisto, and we always go to Edisto Seafood. We get fresh seafood and great advice on how to prepare it. The service is great.

Another great seafood market on the island. I love Flowers, and always get great stuff there. Though I think it is fresher, and a slightly better bang for your buck here. This place has been family run since the 60's, and fresh seafood literally comes off the boat, strait to their cooler. The owners are very friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Just ask for a recommendation, and the freshest catch will be wrapped for you. They also get shrimp from the Sarah Jane as the boat literally pulls into the back. The only commercial fishing boat on the island right now. Wahoo is amazingly fresh and flavorful, as are the tuna steaks, and everything else. Great seafood, and great service. You can't ask for much more than that.

I like Flowers Seafood but if given a choice we go here. Prices are better and seriously - I watched them pull the shrimp and fish off the boat and package it up for me! It doesnt get any fresher than that! Family owned and run - super friendly, great recommendations. Prices are reasonable considering what you are getting! Always different options depending on what they catch that day.

Best place to get seafood on the island. Never had a bad experience. The shrimp will make you hate ordering shrimp in restaurants because they will never taste as good! everything here is fresh and of quality. The one thing is the scallops are not local and a bit overpriced because of that; but they are yummy! I highly recommend picking up some sea food and cooking as an alternative to going out and getting fried seafood!!

A true gem in Edisto and good customer service...which is rare in Edisto. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly and helpful.

We went in based on the reviews on YELP. Everything seemed fresh. The store did have a fishy smell to it. Fresh fish shouldn't smell. We got 4 snapper filets. We will try one tomorrow and update this review. The lady was very nice. The market seemed clean.

We always stop by this place when on the island. Recommendations for fish have always been great - we have tried some great new fish based on recommendations from the owner. The staff is always friendly, and the prices are always reasonable!
